Weber's Village

Hello and Welcome!

I am excited to announce the launch of Weber’s Village LLC and our first book! I am here to give a little background as to who I am and why I created Weber’s Village LLC and our mission.  The dream of creating Weber’s Village LLC came as a result of the isolation I experienced during the COVID pandemic. Most of us remember quarantine as a time of struggle. As a single parent with limited family in the area to lean on for help, I experienced a lot of worry, stress, and uncertainty. Yes, there were moments of gratitude that I was able to experience special 1:1 time with my child, but most of this time I was left with only a handful of people to turn to.  I felt very alone in this new experience of parenting, and this repeatedly led me to the question, “where’s my village?”  We’ve been taught since kids that it takes a village to raise of family but because of our change in societal norms, we don’t have a “village” anymore. Moms are expected to do it all: raise kids, clean, cook, maintain relationships, be present in kids extra curricular’s, and hold a full time job! Having all of these responsibilities with limited support is hard…to say the least, and likely causing an uptick in mental health concerns. I know so many other moms that feel the same way I did….overwhelmed with no where to turn! This led me to create Weber’s Village LLC. My hope is to help people feel like they have a village and resources to help them navigate difficult issues. I will be here to listen and talk about the difficulties of life and provide children’s books to help navigate hard and “taboo” topics. Raising children is hard, and also the most important job you will ever have. I want to be as supportive, accepting, and helpful as possible.

Our first book launch will be “Peter Poop Dreams of Going to Paris. A book about what happens when you hold your poop.” there are limited books that discuss normal bodily functions, like pooping. But there are even less books about constipation, and children who withhold their poop. The behavior of stool-withholding can promote worry and fear, in not only the children, but the parents as well. Our book is geared towards young children and hopes to spark a conversation while adding some humor and coping skills to help them navigate through this challenging event. I truly hope that Weber’s Village LLC, and our first book “Peter poop dreams of going to Paris,” will help families feel supported and understood. We will continue to work on creating new content and other avenues to help build our village around our families. Thank you for supporting our mission and welcome to Weber’s Village!
